"Natural Rights" & "Natural Authority"

Voting Rights
Healthcare Rights
Reproductive Rights
Collective Bargaining Rights
Equal Employment Rights
Fair Housing Rights
Equal-Access-To-Private-Lunch-Counter Rights
Animal Rights
Tenant Rights
Gay Rights
Migrant Rights

These are statutory rights, not natural rights. Natural rights include rights to life and property and nothing else. Statutory rights carve out exceptions to natural rights. They're grants of privilege.

Statutory rights, which appear in nature, undermine natural rights. Natural rights do not appear in nature. Isn't that something?

"Some people might tell you there's no such thing as objective rights, but when attacked they'll fight back just like anyone else. Why, if they have no rights and their consent is not required?"

~Con Duper

"Some people might tell you there's no such thing as objective authority, but when attacked, objective authority fights back just like anyone who has his rights violated fights back. Why does it fight back, if objective authority doesn't exist and its permission is not required?"

"People disagree as to what constitutes objective authority, just as they disagree as to what constitutes objective rights. People fight back for good reasons and bad reasons."

"So objective authority and objective rights are subjective? They're mere religions?"

"You're welcome to dismiss my observation with the term of your choosing."
